Alexander Technique was developed by Tasmanian actor Frederick M Alexander because of a glitch in his voice and the stress it caused.

Acting is physically and emotionally demanding. The role often places great demand on the physicality – the way you walk, talk, stand, move, in order to convey the role. To use Alexander Technique is to tweak yourself so you surpass yourself; your presence; you have poise and buoyancy, balance and ease.

Most celebrities, actors, singers and performers know the meaning of good ‘body talk’ communicating through their use, movement, to convey their performance. Just as a musician fine tunes their instrument, so a performer fine tunes themselves to give their best through Alexander lessons.
